Over the past few blogs, I have talked about forecasting. I have covered the reasons we need to forecast, how to overcome the fear of forecasting, and how we forecast. Now I will cover what the question that most business owners have been asking for years, “What do I do with my forecast?”.
Let’s go back to the 2 analogies that I have used in the past blogs. Think for a moment, what does that meteorologist do with their forecast? What does that architect do with their blueprint? I will give you hint, they don’t keep it to themselves. What good would that meteorologist’s forecast be if they kept it to themselves? They would be the only one prepared for the storm. They would be the only one that knew when trouble was coming. They would be the only one with an umbrella. What good would that architect’s blueprint be if they kept it to themselves? How would the builders know what to build. How would they know where those lights go, how many windows or doors, or even worse, how would know how to layout the foundation? It is a good thing that the meteorologists and architect communicate to everyone isn’t it?
There’s your answer. You need to track and communicate your forecast to the people who are helping to build your company. “Wait Ron!! Did you say TRACK my forecast??” Yes! I did. Would you watch a football game if there wasn’t a scoreboard? I know that a touchdown is worth 6 point and the extra point is worth 1, but I know I want to see it in front of me, I want to watch that number grow. Your team does too. Show them scoreboard, communicate to the people that are there to weather the storms. If they don’t know what to expect, what to build, or how far along they are, then how can they help you build it?
That’s where Three Page comes in. Two of the tools that we give you, is designed to help you track your forecast and communicate that to your team. We combine that blueprint and weather report, put it on a scoreboard and give it to you in a way that your team can understand. “Ron, how exactly does Three Page do that?” Haha.. well if I told you.. I would be giving away our 3 Secrets of Business Growth! Contact Three Page today, and those secrets could be yours!
